Beside being recognised as one of the most livable cities in the world, Melbourne has been pushed to be more happening and vibrant in terms of carnivals, festivals, events, etc. Sports frenziness, Moomba Festival, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Melbourne Queer Film Festival, etc are celebrations of festivals or events that encourage coming-together of citizens, integrate diversity, and help shaping a cultural hub in this country.
To a person who is not too free and active looking for hyper-entertainment all the while, Melbourne city is great enough a place where i personally can see or find certain city vibrancy and urban animated lifestyle. This is a moderate yet promising place, where it has less chaos like what in Kuala Lumpur city; where it has more friendliness than that in Sydney city; where it has ultimate walkability or accessibility in the city; where it has more relaxing pace compared to Hong Kong or Singapore or New York; where all daily life necessities are available within a convenient range. Despite the fact that most of my family and friends ties are in Malaysia, Melbourne city has been considerably a desirable place. There is no doubt why Stefanie Sun Yan Zi listed Melbourne as her most desirable place back in few years time. I used to grade here as an awesome place, but now i am considering for its uplift to WOWsome level.
SO, WOOHOO~ this week comes the Melbourne Fashion Festival that has been getting hot in recent years and held for about a week every year. Lots of fashion shows, either free or charged, have been held on different venues around the city in recent days. The air is filled with joys of wonder-and-wander, eye-candy 'glaze', try-and-test, and gossips of artistic sense, colors, celebrities, etc.
Melbourne Fashion has recently catched up the trend of clothes-skimpiness and bright-colors, that embraces about Melbourne cheerful culture and most importantly-- the confidence and natural sense with skimpy clothes, of which do not limited to girls, but guys as well. There is no doubt that i have seen a lot of pretty girls here. Pretty, as in how they dress up confidentally without sense of unnatural artificiality. I am not saying about sexy or not, but about they know what kind of dressing-up matches their personalities. Besides, according to the
Newspapers and my friend
William in Sydney, Melbourne guys grasped better catch-up in fashion trends and 'daily presentation'. Melbournians, with heavy Asians influence and fusion, present a diverse and cheerful image, in contrast to dark colors of traditional Europeans or contemporary New Yorkers or Sydneysiders. Interesting...
